Two buys: California Water Service and Gilead Sciences

We go straight to the news. I have bought to new stocks!

I have bought 4 shares in California Water Service Group (CWT)

I have bought 2 shares in Gilead Sciences.

The projected annual dividend from the two is 5,32 $.

California Water Service is a dividend king. My strategy is to own stocks of all the dividend kings and aristocrats and California Water Service group is a perfect fit.

Their yield isn’t too impressive with a current yield of 1,60 %.

The great website recently posted this regarding CWT:

California Water Service Group provides water utility and other related services in California, Washington, New Mexico, and Hawaii. The company raised its quarterly dividend by 5.30% to 19.75 cents/share. This represents the company’s 52nd consecutive annual dividend increase. Over the past decade, this dividend king has managed to grow dividends by 2.20%/year. Between 2008 and 2017, this utility managed to grow earnings from 95 cents/share to $1.40/share. The company is expected to earn $1.22/share in 2018. Right now the stock is overvalued at 40 times forward earnings and yields 1.60%.

As a dividend king with a low current yield I like to add it early to my portfolio since I can gain profit over the years hoping they will remain a dividend king and keep raising those sweet dividends!

The two buys also means that I now owe shares in 11 different companies already crossing off one of my secondary goals.
